    Description

    Position Summary:

    The Assistant Claims Analyst is responsible for the day to day technical and administrative functions supporting the Claims Department. The ideal candidate must have outstanding organization skills as well as advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

    Essential Functions:

    • Receive and distribute first notices of claims to proper claims handlers (carrier, TPA, etc.).
    • Review first notices to assure claim within policy dates, location on policy and proper LOB. Alert claims handlers of same and in some instances get claim withdrawals from broker on outright mistakes.
    • Upload of monthly claims bordereaux into system focusing on data analytics.
    • Review data for accuracy and produce monthly change reports.
    • Alert management to large claim potential and follow up on reserve posting.
    • Process loss run requests when needed.
    • Create policies for certification.
    • Field questions regarding claim status from brokers and or underwriters.
    • Maintain specific by line procedures by company in IMS regarding claim reporting including key contacts.
    • All other duties as needed to support claims process and inform underwriting staff.

    Education/Experience/Skills:

    • Strong administrative experience will be considered.
    • Ability to manage workload with minimal supervision.

    • Exceptional organizational skills.
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office including, but not limited to Outlook, Word, and Excel.
    • Proven track record of being a team player.

    The target salary range for this position is $25-30/hour. The wage range for this role considers many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, licensure and certification, business needs, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Full-time roles are eligible for bonuses and benefits.
