    Job Description

    We are seeking a self-motivated Tax Manager to join our expanding team at TriStar Tax & Business Solutions. The Tax Manager will be responsible for planning and managing the tax team, taking client calls/meetings and reviewing returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, and estates. The ideal candidate will be a self starter who possess excellent communication and organizational skills, exhibits strong analytical skills, is proficient in accounting software and has an understanding of tax law.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manages the timely and accurate preparation of all tax returns.
    • Communicates with clients to ensure that all of their needs are understood and addressed.
    • Understand client tax issues/research tax issues
    • Assist other tax members with accounting responsibilities
    • Communicates well and has excellent customer service skills.
    • Supervises and trains staff on best practices, performs annual performance reviews, and works with management on appropriate staffing allocation.

    Basic Requirements / Qualifications:

    • Must have 4-5+ Years of Public Accounting Experience (with a CPA firm)
    • At least 1 Year as a Tax Manager
    • Active CPA
    • Strong leadership, decision making, and technical skills.
    • Enjoys working with a team in an energetic and open working environment.
    • Public Accounting Experience.
    • Experience with Microsoft Excel required.
    • Experience with QuickBooks Online required.
