    Description


    Role PurposeThe Business Analyst for Information Management (IM) plays a critical role in the successful execution and delivery of the Information Asset Management program within the North American, South American business in Mott Macdonald.

    The role will report to the Regional Knowledge and Information Manager.

    This role is instrumental in gathering, mapping, analysing, and documenting business requirements, ensuring that the IM program is fully aligned with the strategic objectives and operational needs.

    A strong candidate will also possess advanced analytical skills, proficiency in data analytics tools, and excellent communication abilities to effectively articulate findings and influence decision-making processes within the organization.


    Key Responsibilities:

    Requirement Gathering:
    Actively engage with stakeholders to gather and document comprehensive business requirements for the IM program and AI initiatives, ensuring alignment with MM's strategic objectives

    IM architecture and analysis:
    Map and analyse IM systems to identify gaps and inefficiencies, providing actionable insights for improvement

    Stakeholder Collaboration:
    Work closely with the NASA KI Manager, the Program Lead IM, other regional KI Managers, and other stakeholders in the business to ensure the IM program and the AI initiatives meets the diverse needs of the business

    Compliance and Governance:
    Assist in ensuring that the IM program complies with relevant legal and regulatory frameworks, and other data protection laws

    Project Management:

    Lead projects related to information management, including the implementation of new systems or enhancements to existing onesAnalytics: Gathering, reviewing, and analyzing data, including key performance indicators (KPIs), and other relevant metrics.

    Using data analytics tools to interpret complex data and translate findings into actionable insights.


    Developing and overseeing Process Improvement:
    Analyze process issues and bottlenecks to make improvements and recommend solutions to operational problems


    Candidate Specification:
    Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.


    3 to 6 years of proven experience in business analysis, preferably within an information management or data governance context and process improvementFamiliarity with data protection laws and regulations, such as GDPR.Experience in working with cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder relationships.

    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into actionable insights.
    Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
    Understanding of data governance, data quality, and data lifecycleProficient in data analysis tools and methodologies.
    Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    Basic knowledge of machine learning and artificial intelligence to leverage advanced analytics.
    Experience with managing project budgets, monitoring projects progress including developing business cases for assigned projects
