Job Summary:


As an Application Support Analyst, your role includes supporting, administrating and maintaining Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning systems with a specific focus on Oracle E-Business Suite.

Provide tier1 and tier2 support to internal customers. Work with managed service provider and Oracle support to resolve issues in a timely manner. Work closely with Subject Matter Experts (SME) to identify, document and resolve technical and functional issues. Respond to monitored alerts and events.

A key focus of the problem resolution aspect of this position is on root cause analysis with an overarching goal of minimizing recurring events.


Work Performed:


  • Manage helpdesk queue on a daily basis.
  • Perform root cause analysis to minimize repeat occurrences of issues.
  • Validate and regression test patches and break fix resolutions.
  • Monitor operational environments to ensure internal customer Service Level Agreement are met.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance system availability, performance and security.
  • Develop technical documentation to represent end user requirements.
  • Work with business users to document and create queries.
  • Execute backend data cleansing and data fixes.
  • When needed provide end user training and guidance.
  • Work with third party support vendors to ensure technical issues are addressed within the predefined service level agreement.
  • Provide proactive and preventative maintenance activities.

Qualifications:


  • Associate degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of programming/scripting languages such as Oracle SQL required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience working with Change Management, Problem Management and configuration management processes.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft excel including scripting and programming in excel.
  • Client focused and support orientated.
  • Familiarity with SAP BI Edge a plus.
  • Ability to write Crystal reports a plus.
  • Prior experience with Oracle Customer Care and Billing, E
  • Business, WAM and MWM a plus.
