    Procurement Analyst Opportunity at the Administration for Children's Services (ACS)



    The selected candidate for this role will receive a salary ranging from $55,699 to $64,054. This position is aimed at candidates who hold a permanent status in the civil service title of Procurement Analyst at ACS.

    ACS plays a vital role in safeguarding children and families by offering child welfare and juvenile justice services along with community support. The agency manages various community-based support programs, foster care services, and subsidized childcare vouchers, while also responding to child maltreatment allegations and overseeing juvenile justice services.

    The Office of Procurement at ACS is responsible for managing the agency's contracts for human and non-human services. Procurement staff work closely with divisional teams to prepare and coordinate RFPs, bids, acquisitions, and contract renewals, ensuring compliance with the City's procurement policies and regulations set by the Procurement Policy Board (PPB).

    Key responsibilities for this role include:

    • Timely registration of purchases, bids, and orders.
    • Participation in the solicitation process.
    • Utilization of various information systems for contract preparation.
    • Preparation of reports for stakeholders.
    • Interaction with divisions and oversight agencies for contract clarifications.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • A degree from an accredited college and relevant professional experience.
    • An associate degree or equivalent education with professional experience.
    • High school diploma with substantial professional experience.
    • Combination of education and experience.

    Special Notes:

    To be eligible for higher assignment levels, additional experience is required, including supervisory roles and procurement duties equivalent to the respective levels.


    Preferred Skills:

    The ideal candidate should have prior procurement experience, familiarity with PASSPort, APT, and FMS systems, and possess multitasking abilities. Additionally, proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, strong communication skills, attention to detail, and teamwork are valued.


    Additional Information:

    The position is open to qualified individuals under the 55-a Program for persons with disabilities. Furthermore, prospective employees may be eligible for federal loan forgiveness programs and state repayment assistance programs.

    New York City residency is typically required within 90 days of appointment, and certain exceptions apply based on continuous service with the City.
