    The Senior Software Engineer will report to the Sr Manager of Engineering, Cyber Security and Data Protection, who will be helping our Cyber Security and Data Protection Engineering team to build quality in products that secure mobile devices, application and data.

    We develop innovative solutions that are transforming the internet security business, and millions of users rely on our service for data protection and comprehensive security.

    We also provide real-time analytics to our customers for unmatched visibility, and maintain a state-of-the-art NOC.

    The development team works on web filtering, policy enforcement, next-gen firewall, sandboxing, DLP, Saas API, CASB, Sandbox and Endpoint Protection user solutions.

    Being responsive to our customers and delivering industry-leading mission-critical solutions require precise engineering and a philosophy of continuous improvement, both areas in which Zscaler engineers excel.

    Develop and maintain automation frameworks and tools to streamline testing processes.
    Lead and execute scalability, stress, and performance testing for our products.
    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify performance bottlenecks and propose solutions.
    Interact with customers and partners to simulate customer scenarios which help validate the product.
    Identify and propose areas of improvement throughout the software development process.
    Evaluate and implement cloud security measures to ensure the highest level of protection for our systems.
    Document and communicate test results, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders.
    Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in cloud security and scalability testing.
    Comfort with Python, Java or C programming and strong grasp of operating systems concepts
    ~ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar technical field
    ~5+ years of experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test
    ~ Strong TCP/IP and Linux experience
    ~ Experience in web and mobile (iOS and Android) test automation
    ~ Experience with PKI, network security technologies and protocols
    ~ Experience with RESTful APIs, threading, and performance testing
    ~ Experience in security or networking industry
    ~ Strong, object-oriented design and coding skills
    ~ Experience being part of agile team for collaborative execution
    ~ Performance tuning support including test tool development

    Experience in validating Data Leak Prevention, Advanced Threat Protection, Malware Detection
    Testing, performance benchmarking of Windows/MacOS end machine applications and automation
    Hands on experience with CASB cloud applications

    The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

    The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/ bonus/ equity (if applicable) + benefits.
