- Collaborate with senior pharmacology scientists to support the preclinical evaluation of novel therapeutic molecules through the use of various mouse models, including target validation and mechanism of action investigation.
- Execute routine in vivo tasks such as animal handling, dosing, blood/tissue collection and processing, anesthesia administration, and euthanasia.
- Oversee the management of mouse colonies to support project teams, including breeding, genotyping, colony expansion, and maintenance of accurate inventories of vivarium supplies.
Primary Job Requirements: - BS or MS degree in biology, pharmacology, or related disciplines, with a minimum of 3 years of experience working with laboratory animals.
- Possess advanced skills in animal colony management, genotyping, animal handling techniques, compound dosing (IV, PO, IP, IM, and SC), blood collection methods (tail vein, submandibular, and retro-orbital), as well as euthanasia and necropsy procedures including tissue collection and processing.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail, familiarity with animal care policies, and a proactive willingness to acquire new skills to enhance and expand their current skill set, while also having proficiency in biomarker assays such as colorimetric/enzymatic assays, ELISA, Western blot, PCR/qPCR/ddPCR, etc.
