    Description


    ChampionX needs a Production Manager which will plan, direct, coordinate and oversee the production activities at the Sugar Land, Texas plant ensuring development and implementation of efficient production and cost-effective systems to meet current and future needs of the plant.

    Collaborates with Plant Manager to develop and meet company goals while supplying expertise and guidance on operations projects and systems.

    Collaborates with other divisions and departments to carry out the organization's goals and objectives.

    Identifies, recommends, and implements new processes, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline organizational processes and use of resources and materials.

    Ensures that departmental decisions and project plans such as those for staffing, development, organization, production efficiency and facilities are in line with the organization's business plan and vision, including its financial goals.

    Establishes, communicates, and implements operations-related policies, practices, standards, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent support and execution.
    Reviews and approves cost-control reports, cost estimates, and staffing requirements for projects.
    Establishes and administers the department's budget.
    Presents periodic performance reports and metrics to the plant manager and other leadership.
    Maintains knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in operations management.
    Identifies training needs and ensures proper training is developed and provided.
    Performs other related duties as assigned.


    Minimum Qualifications:


    Bachelor's degree in an engineering field with a minimum of 5 years applicable experience working in production, manufacturing, operations and/or engineering within a plant environment along with a minimum of 3 years of direct leadership/management experience.

    Demonstrated capability to solve complex problems with little to no supervision on schedule as an individual or as a member of an integrated team using appropriate problem-solving toolsExperience identifying and analyzing production process improvements for rate and qualityExperience using SQL to navigate large datasets to create and monitor key performance metricsAble to adapt to constant changing work assignments in a fast-paced production environmentExperience monitoring, tracking and continually improving the total cost of unit productionHands on leadership experience, exceptional communication skills, and a strong passion for advancing manufacturing process efficiencyConcern for people as evidenced by a passion for safety, people development, motivation, and engagementAll candidates must have the ability to speak, read and write English

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Bachelor/Master degree in Chemical or Mechanical EngineeringMinimum 5 years' experience in a Chemical Manufacturing PlantAbility to effectively manage projects through all stagesLean Six Sigma Green BeltDemonstrated process improvement experienceBatch operations experienceAbility to interpret and generate mechanical flow diagrams, process flow diagrams, electrical diagrams, and instrument diagrams.
