    Burrtec is a well established refuse and recycling collection company serving over fifteen municipalities throughout Southern California and employing over 1400 full-time employees. Burrtec continues to grow through co. acquisitions and successful bid proposals. We have the following position at our Fontana Corporate division:

    Outreach Coordinator

    SALARY RANGE: $ $28.00/hour

    SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    Candidate selected for this assignment will be responsible for assisting with California mandated Waste compliance initiatives to help ensure all SB1383 requirements are completed. This temporary to possible regular, full-time position is a 12-18-month assignment.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

    • Provide logistical account support to help determine if customers are meeting waste diversion goals and identifies business training needs
    • Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports for non-compliant accounts
    • Evaluate waste streams in order to identify opportunities to increase waste diversion and/or services.
    • Coordinate recycling programs for achievement of waste diversion goals.
    • Maintain waste diversion reporting for Municipal contract compliance.
    • Conduct off site business visits to perform waste audits, inspections and surveys on commercial, multi-family and residential accounts.
    • Prepare real time data entry into excel spreadsheet and other databases.
    • Conduct or assist in conducting preliminary surveys and preparing audit programs.
    • Assist in preforming various audits assignments or special audit projects.
    • Submit formal written reports as requested on the results of assigned audits and special projects
    • Auditing and collecting raw data for municipal contract compliance.
    • Contacting customers by phone, email and in person.
    • Educate Customers on recycling state regulations

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    • Strong presentation, networking, time management and interpersonal skills.
    • Self-motivated and have the ability to maintain projects and deadlines.
    • Comfortable in face-to-face situations.
    • Good oral and written communication skills.
    • Flexible and have ability to handle multiple tasks.
    • Detail oriented and have concern for quality.
    • Computer Skills are required.
    • Ability to learn and correctly interpret and apply policies and procedures.
    • Maintains a positive attitude
    • Excellent communications skills
    • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation, required.

    TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Knowledge of the Waste Industry is preferred, but not required.
    • Proficient with Excel, Word, Google Sheets, Email
    • Speaking or customer interaction experience

    PHYSICAL:

    • Standing and/or sitting for prolonged periods of time - up to 8 hours or more per day
    • Manual dexterity and vision sufficient to operate a personal computer for long periods of time without experiencing abnormal hand, wrist or eye strain.
    • Hearing sufficient to understand conversations, both in person and on the telephone.
