    Job Title: Chef Manager

    About the Position:

    Join Genuine Foods as a Chef Manager and play a vital role in ensuring that students and families receive the high-quality, scratch-made meals they deserve, especially in a Higher Education setting.

    You will work closely with the culinary and operations management team, overseeing menu planning, leading a team of cooks and food service workers, and ensuring exceptional meal prep and service. Your responsibilities will also involve managing the Catering Department, training staff, overseeing events, and maintaining high-quality standards for all menu items.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate on seasonal and exciting menu development
    • Manage team members and staffing
    • Menu planning, ordering, and inventory management
    • Train catering staff and grow the catering business
    • Ensure food safety and sanitation standards
    • Oversee daily food preparation and culinary excellence
    • Track performance metrics and communicate results
    • Other duties as assigned

    Requirements:

    • 3+ years experience in high-volume food service
    • Comfortable with change and passionate about cooking
    • Prior catering experience in various settings
    • Interest in seasonal ingredients and local sourcing
    • Strong leadership and team-building skills
    • Commitment to continuous learning
    • Excellent organizational and attention to detail abilities
    • Proficient in managing costs and working with a culinary team
