    Role Purpose


    The Senior Development Manager for Sustainable Investment Data Product in FTSE Russell will be responsible for the development and maintenance of LSEG's Sustainable Investment data platform, to support timely and accurate delivery of sustainable investment data to external and internal clients, to support new/existing Equity and fixed income sustainable investment index and sustainable investment data product builds.


    The remit for this role is a part of the wider programme to build solutions to fit in target state index data platform and achieving strategic goals of the FTSE Russell business.

    Role Responsibilities


    Understand what the Sustainable Investment Product business is looking to achieve and work with the team to define and build solutions that support those outcomes.

    Provide functional and technical mentorship to the team, assisting with solution design, architecture alignment, handling critical issues and resolving blockers.

    Develop the team's skills and talents to implement world-class engineering standards to support high quality and velocity delivery.

    Develop relationships with broader Index data technology and business teams in Fort Mill to support ongoing collaboration on FTSE Russell outcomes.

    Support Data Operations and Management teams to meet regulatory requirements, governance, polices and standards.

    Build and mentor the performance and capabilities of the teams across various geographical locations (London UK, India, Fort Mill US).

    Minimum Requirements

    Technical/ job functional knowledge

    Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Electronics / Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
    Significant experience in software development methodologies and Agile based delivery
    Proven experience of leading the design, planning and development of complex technical solutions within a fast-paced business
    Deep knowledge of programming languages (C#/Angular/Java) and relational databases
    Good experience in AWS / Azure preferred.
    Experience in working on Sustainable investment data, Equity/fixed income asset classes and Equity/fixed income index products.

    Experience in building re-usable code, data assets, defining and implementing software engineering standard methodologies & code frameworks using Microsoft .Net tech stack.

    Experience of Business and Technical Analysis, Quality Assurance, Planning and Delivery Management.
    Business / Sector expertise

    Index/Portfolio/Asset Management or Financial services or similar experience preferred.
    Leadership & management experience

    This is a People manager role.
    Experience in professional technical thought leadership.

    Phenomenal teammate, problem solver, a self-sufficient person with an ability to be constructively address issues
