    Description


    Madison Trust / Broad Financial is an integrated, rapidly growing, Bergen County based financial services group comprised of a chartered trust company, an IRA services specialty group, multiple alternative investment fund affiliates and a real estate group.

    We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team.

    The Senior Accountant will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial integrity of the company by meticulously recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering financial transactions.

    This role demands a high level of analytical thinking skills and a keen eye for detail to accurately compile and analyze account information, prepare financial statements, and resolve discrepancies.

    The Senior Accountant will also reconcile intercompany transactions.


    Responsibilities:

    • Record, verify, consolidate, and enter financial transactions into Quickbooks
    • Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries. Occasionally input general journal entries.
    • Record and reconcile intercompany transactions to ensure accurate financial reporting
    • Financial Reporting
    • Summarize the financial status by preparing and analyzing P&L, BS and cash flow statements monthly
    • Prepare daily cash reconciliations and monthly bank reconciliations to maintain financial
    accuracy

    • Perform other ad-hoc accounting-related tasks and duties to support the accounting and incoming money department

    Qualifications and Skills:

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting
    • Minimum 5 years of experience with a strong understanding of accounting principles
    • Familiarity with financial reporting requirements and standards
    • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
    • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
    • Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
