    Principal Product Manager - Generative AI & ML Principal Product Manager - Generative AI & ML Principal Product Manager Req ID FY|R&D|#7 Location(s) Charlotte, North Carolina, USA; Detroit, Michigan, USA; Houston, Texas, USA; New York City, New York, USA; Portland, Oregon, USA; Seattle, Washington, USA; Work arrangement(s) Fully Remote (works exclusively from home) Your opportunity As a Principal Product Manager, Generative AI & Machine Learning, you will lead the development and strategy for New Relic's generative AI & ML platform. You will be a visionary, driving the creation of features and experiences that leverage generative AI and other AI/ML models to solve problems in observability, engineering, CI/CD, incident response, and root cause analysis. Your entrepreneurial spirit will generate excitement and buy-in for your ideas as you guide your team and the product from ideation to scaling and monetization. What you'll do
  • Define and execute a strategy for enabling New Relic features and experiences with generative AI and other AI/ML models.
  • Effectively shepherd the development and maturation of New Relic AI features and platform, from ideation through to production scaling and monetization.
  • Demonstrate the ability to lead multiple engineering teams toward common goals and compelling visions.
  • Operate at multiple organizational and strategic levels, from hands-on execution to securing C-Suite buy-in for high-risk, high-reward initiatives.
  • Clearly communicate a vision and achievable goals in a rapidly changing space, leveraging continuously evolving technology.
  • Work cross-functionally and with product teams to secure buy-in, foster relationships with product peers, and help the company achieve ambitious goals.
  • Manage resources, timelines, and project scopes effectively, wearing your project manager hat when necessary.
    • This role requires
  • 7+ years of SaaS and cloud-based software product management experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience with AI and LLM technology.
  • Experience driving product vision, go-to-market strategy, and design discussions.
    • Bonus points if you have
  • Experience creating strategic product roadmaps and working with cross-functional teams.
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication and the ability to explain complex technical design in seconds or minutes, depending on the audience and goals
  • Ability to combine data-driven approaches with strong user empathy to figure out what / when / why to ship
  • Good negative capability: Confidence in navigating ambiguous and vague problem definitions and the ability to refine them into an actionable plan
  • Demonstrated strong ownership and execution skills.
  • Experience building and launching a multi-purpose generative AI assistant.
  • Experience in the observability sector.
  • Startup experience showcasing your ability to pitch ideas and generate interest and buy-in. You are a self-starter with experience leading teams through influence rather than authority.
  • Ability to operate successfully in a lean, agile, and fast-paced organization
  • Can demonstrate and articulate past product decisions, product architecture, and conflict management examples.
