    What is Clarity?

    Our mission atClarityis to:

Be a trusted guide that helps millions of families to discover, plan for and access the best educational opportunities for their children.

Help schools to adapt and operate like the dynamic businesses they must be in order to survive and best serve the families of the future.

Build a company where people are able to do the best work of their careers and consistently solve problems in novel ways that create unique value in the world.

The first step in fulfilling this mission is our transformative financial aid application, which launched in 2022 and has already grown to over 700 private K-12 schools and 100,000 family users.

Building on this momentum, we have started building a second product, which will launch in 2024 and are uniquely positioned to solve a variety of problems for both schools and families.

    Responsibilities
As a Product Manager, you will own a product, guiding its evolution and development.

You'll craft its roadmap and expand its reach to thousands of schools, hundreds of thousands of families, all while deepening its impact and utility for every user.

    Specifically, you will:

Partner with engineering to introduce upcoming projects, serve as a source of validation, aid in mid-build decisions, and ensure that the result aligns with the vision.

Write specifications and partner with a product designer to create designs for new features and enhancements.
Own the product roadmap and balance short-term deliverables with long-term strategic goals.
Manage the quality assurance process to ensure features and enhancements function as intended and product releases are seamless.
Define and evolve internal metrics to measure product success. Establish criteria for new features and enhancements to ensure they provide intended value.
Communicate new releases internally and coordinate with marketing and client success on external product marketing initiatives.

Build relationships with schools and families to gather feedback, while also collecting insights from internal and external stakeholders to inform product decisions.

Enhance Clarity's data story and identify scalable mechanisms for gathering and analyzing product feedback.

Collaborate with the go-to-market teams to ensure the product strategy aligns with and includes a comprehensive understanding of the go-to-market strategy.

Support the leadership team in defining the overall goals and strategy for product development.
Stay attuned to industry trends and the competitive landscape. Help to refine the product's unique value proposition and competitive advantage.

Create and update written and visual documentation that describes how the product works that can be used by both internal and external stakeholders.

    Traits of an Ideal Candidate
You have strong communication skills and are adept at conveying product ideas both verbally and in writing.
You love talking to customers and finding new ways to delight them.
You are comfortable spearheading greenfield projects and showcase a drive to own impactful projects from ideation to post-launch.
You are collaborative and have experience working closely with engineers, designers, customer-facing teams, and other stakeholders.
You are able to quickly learn new domains.
You have software product management experience.
You are ambitious and eager to contribute to and grow with a fast paced, high growth startup.
You have experience working with or on payments technology.
You are comfortable with context switching and find satisfaction in creating order from chaos.
    Why take this job?

You will operate with a high degree of autonomy and own the development of a product used by hundreds of thousands of people.

You will be challenged and have opportunities for accelerated personal and professional growth.

You will work with incredibly talented and dedicated team members that have experience building a product from nothing into something.

You will be paid competitively, receive stock options and have a variety of other benefits, including 100% company-sponsored health, medical and dental insurance.

Clarity has grown from 0 to 35 employees in just 2 years and is poised to continue growing quickly.
Clarity has strong product market fit and extremely strong NPS (90+).

Clarity already has over 100,000 family users and is uniquely positioned to solve a variety of problems for them related to planning and paying for education.

Clarity is a fully remote work environment, but also provides both team specific and all company sponsored offsites every year.
