    About the Position

    Foursquare is looking for a

    Product Manager


    to join our team located in or near one of our office hubs - New York City, Chicago, Seattle, San Francisco.


    About the team:


    Platform Engineering develops, delivers, and operates a software and cloud services platform that enables engineering teams to iterate with velocity, repeatability, scrutability, and quality.

    Our platform includes a curated AWS environment, IAM, EKS for microservices, and a suite of preferred technology and patterns for build, deploy, observability, pipeline orchestration, and data discovery, scrubbing, ingestion, delivery, and validation.

    In short, we build the stuff that allows product engineers and data scientists to spend more time delivering value to customers and less time on underlying systems and frameworks.


    About the role:
    We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product Manager to join our Platform Engineering team.

    The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product management, with a deep understanding of platform technologies, cloud infrastructure and engineering processes.

    You must be deeply passionate about improving day-to-day lives of product engineers and data scientists.

    This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams across the company to define, build, and launch platform products that enable scalable, reliable and efficient development processes and cloud infrastructure.

    In this role, you'll
    Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap for our platform engineering portfolio, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives and customer needs
    Collaborate with engineering, design, and business teams to develop and prioritize product requirements, user stories, and product backlog items
    Lead cross-functional teams through the product development lifecycle, including ideation, design, development, testing, release, and post-launch evaluation
    Act as a product evangelist, communicating the product vision and value proposition to internal and external stakeholders, and gathering feedback to inform product iterations
    Define and track key product metrics to measure success and drive continuous improvement
    Work closely with engineering leaders to ensure technical feasibility, timely delivery, and alignment with architectural standards and best practices

    What you'll need
    Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field
    3-5 years of experience in product management, preferably in platform engineering or a related technology domain
    Strong understanding of platform technologies, cloud services, and modern software development practices
    A passion for improving the lives of product engineers and data scientists
    Proven ability to define product vision, translate it into actionable roadmaps, and lead cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products
    Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across the organization
    Analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to decision-making
    Experience with Agile methodologies and product management tools

    Hybrid Work Schedule

    for in-person collaboration on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays beginning April 1, 2024. For roles considered remote, this will not apply.


    At Foursquare, we are committed to providing competitive pay and benefits that are in line with industry and market standards.


    Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, and specific office location.

    The annual total cash compensation range is

    $104,000 - $175,750

    howeveractual salaries can vary based on a candidate's qualifications, skills and competencies, as well as location.

    Salary is just one component of Foursquare's total compensation package, which includes restricted stock units, multiple health insurance options, and a wide range of benefits
