    Metrics is looking for a dedicated and experienced Contract Specialist with experience in Federal Construction Acquisition Support. This pivotal role is based in the bustling Hampton, Virginia, and will require additional travel to local construction sites. With a commitment to excellence and a minimum of six years of specialized Federal Acquisition Construction Experience, the ideal candidate will be integral in delivering comprehensive acquisition support services across the entire lifecycle of our federal customer's projects.     Location: Onsite in Hampton, Virginia with additional travel to local construction sites

    Position Summary:
    Metrics is seeking a seasoned Contract Specialist with a minimum of six years of Federal Acquisition Construction Experience. This role will provide comprehensive acquisition support services throughout the full acquisition lifecycle to our federal customer. This position will be performed onsite with some travel to construction sites as needed.

    Key Responsibilities:
    - Provide expert acquisition support services and assist the customer in pre-award, award, and post-award functions using a variety of contracting methods and types.
    - Conduct thorough market research and analysis to determine the availability of construction requirements.
    - Prepare and manage contractual documents, including market research, Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCE), Determinations & Findings (D&F), Justifications & Approvals (J&A), using Electronic Contract Management System (eCMS).
    - Coordinate effectively with requiring activities, industry partners, and other stakeholders; ensure completion of contractual files.
    - Handle post-award procurement functions, excluding modifications to contract performance or quantities, performance evaluations, and acceptance or rejection of contractor products or services.

    Experience:
    - Extensive experience with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and applicable regulations and policies.
    - A strong background in federal construction contracting, with the ability to work both from the office and at local construction sites.

    Position Requirements:
    - Minimum of six years of federal acquisition experience in construction.
    - Willingness to work onsite and travel to construction sites as required.
    - Strong communication skills for coordinating through emails, calls, and meetings.

    Desired Qualifications:
    - Federal Acquisition Certification in Contracting (FAC-C) or Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Certification is highly desirable.
