    Job Summary

    Provide effective leadership for the team/unit by developing comprehensive program plans for the team/unit and other units as needed. Responsible for setting employee goals, assessing employee performance and providing feedback, and making pay recommendations.

    This position will interact on a regular basis with Senior and Executive unit faculty and staff.
    This position typically will advise and counsel: Senior and Executive unit faculty and staff and other research academic unit faculty and staff supervisors.
    This position will supervise: Assigned staff

    Responsibilities

    Job Duty 1 -
    Collaborate with unit leadership and other research enterprise support units to translate business objectives into learning programs

    Job Duty 2 -
    Work with supervisors to identify performance gaps and recommend effective training and organizational development solutions

    Job Duty 3 -
    Conduct analysis to understand the needs of the unit and other research enterprise support units, managing the review, approval, and audit of new and existing certifications for consistency.

    Job Duty 4 -
    Responsible for developing a responsive organizational plan that manages the onboarding of new employees, role specific training, training content creation, and the learning management system (LMS).

    Job Duty 5 -
    Design, develop, schedule, and direct the design and implementation of administered training and organizational development programs for all unit and other research enterprise support unit employee populations that provide organizational impact and improve performance

    Job Duty 6 -
    Responsible for the configuration, implementation, administration, and maintenance of units learning management system (LMS).

    Job Duty 7 -
    Create partnerships with external providers, manage the contracting process, and ensure all course curricula and educational materials are current, of acceptable quality, and delivered on time.

    Job Duty 8 -
    Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility.

    Job Duty 9 -
    Perform other related duties as assigned.

    Required Qualifications

    Educational Requirements
    Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

    Other Required Qualifications
    Travel Requirement: 10% - 25%

    Required Experience
    Two to five years of job-related experience

    Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

    SKILLS
    This job requires advanced knowledge of training design principles and practices; excellent verbal and written communication skills for the purpose of providing information to internal customers, vendors, leadership, and staff; excellent analytical and problem solving skills; knowledge of office related computer applications; knowledge and programming of learning management systems; management and supervisory skills; possess leadership, project management, presentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills; consulting or counseling experience.
