    Job Title: Office Assistant
    Department: Facilities Services
    Reports to: Director of Facilities
    Hours: Flexible (up to 20 hours per week during school sessions)
    Rate: $20 per hour

    JOB SUMMARY:
    Under the general direction of the Facilities Office, the Office Assistant will provide operational and LibCal support to Palo Alto University. Additionally, there may be additional computer-related duties as needed.

    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    • Assist with basic regular updates to LibCal on a regular basis.
    • Ability to work with various publics is necessary.
    • Demonstrate a strong community focus and an ability to enthusiastically and effectively assist via phone or email while ensuring compliance with Department policies and procedures.
    • May be required to assist with communication to PAU community, preparation of publications and/or newsletters, preparation of PAU events.
    • Perform other remote duties on the computer as assigned.
    Qualifications:
    • Excellent written, verbal communication, and listening skills.
    • High attention to detail.
    • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
    • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to greet the public courteously.
    • A strong work ethic, dependability, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks and follow through in a timely manner.
    • Ability to work with those of diverse cultures and backgrounds.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Gmail, and Google Drive, Adobe Acrobat, DocuSign, and Zoom.
    • Graphic design skills are a plus.
    • Excellent listening, written, and verbal communication skills.
