Ellen Abraham

I am a sophomore at Stanford University and will complete a double major in English and Theater and Performance Studies with a minor in

Psychology in May 2024. I have developed strong writing and production management skills

through coursework in theater, creative writing, and psychology courses.

As an intern at Marin Theater Company this past summer, I developed production skills by

doing, organizing and facilitating the casting of actors for upcoming shows, working in the

marketing department with promoting shows online, doing dramaturgical research, and making

recommendations of plays the company should consider through detailed script coverage

work. My work focused around the shows The Sound Inside by Adam Rapp and Georgiana

and Kitty: Christmas at Pemberley by Lauren Gunderson & Margot Melcon.

At Stanford, I demonstrated leadership ability by serving as the Assistant Director for a show in

the fall of my freshman year, Head Writer in a sketch comedy group, being a member of The

Stanford Daily, as well as being on several creative and educational boards. In this effort, I

honed my ability to make good decisions, plan and organize my time, work well on a team, and

have developed sound interpersonal, oral, and written communications skills. Finally, I bring an

entrepreneurial spirit and creativity to this position, as evidenced by my writing my own

projects such as plays, sketch comedy skits, screen plays, and tv pilots. Thank you for your
