    Description

    Acquired Philadelphia is a full service talent acquisition consultancy partnering with businesses locally and nationally to acquire and retain the right talent. We are on a mission to disrupt the outdated and overpriced Recruiting and Staffing industry.

    Our client, a growing real estate firm, is seeking a driven and dedicated Staff Accountant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of financial accounting data across various areas. Strong analytical and organizational skills are essential to support the accounting team effectively.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead in review and processing of Real Estate Tax bills to ensure timely payment, document of receipts and filing in tax file and prepare associated billbacks.
    • Prepare and analyze monthly bank reconciliations
    • Prepare and review monthly schedules and associated journal entries including, but not limited to, prepaid expenses, accrued expenses, due to/from, security deposits, etc.
    • Review and code invoices for the industrial portfolio
    • Process monthly sales and franchise tax reportings in required states
    • Assist in monthly tracking of CapEx projects by working with the development team and updating and maintaining budget tracking schedules
    • Prepare tenant annual common area expense reconciliations
    • Assist in preparation of annual property operating budgets
    • Assist in preparation of monthly financial reporting packages to investors in fast paced multi-entity environment.
    • Assist in annual audit and tax return preparation.
    • Address questions and/or complete special projects as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree (BS) in Accounting from a four-year College or University, required
    • 3+ years of prior accounting experience
    • CPA Designation / or working towards, preferred
    • Property Management accounting and/or Yardi experience, preferred
    • Industrial industry knowledge a plus
    • Strong Communication & Organization skills
    • Highly skilled in Microsoft Office products with an emphasis on Excel
