    Description

    Position Overview:

    The Industrial Engineer Intern will be responsible for using business intelligence and insights to drive operational efficiency through tool and report creation. This role will collaborate with Industrial Engineers to understand business practices and needs to develop analytical reports and tools that drive the business. Facilitation of a short-term project and initiative to improve the service performance and cost position of the customer's business activities.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    Create Python and/or Java based tools

    Develop programs for operational effectiveness using knowledge-based tools

    Data analysis on picklines, capacity, and product

    Provide assistance with operations improvements

    Update layouts using AutoCAD

    Participate in cross-functional initiatives

    Interact with all levels of business professionals

    Additional job duties as assigned

    Requirements and Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering is preferred

    0-2 years of industrial engineering experience in warehouse and distribution environments

    Demonstrated skills in using data to analyze root causes to resolve problems

    Proficiency in programing and query languages like Python, Java, and SQL strongly desired

    Proficiency in AutoCAD desired, but not required

    Strong PC skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

    Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills

    Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
