Description
Kranze Technology Solutions, Inc is currently seeing an Electrical Engineer Intern for the Summer of 2024.The intent is to focus on a single hardware design project, however the selected intern may also assist with other design / testing tasks as time allows.
The project will involve a mix of research, design, and hands on testing.Responsibilities:
Research and simulate solutions for protecting ~1 GHz signals from ESD & other voltage transients. Assist with the design of multiple potential protection solutions. Build prototypes and use test equipment to characterize the losses of each solution. Utilize oscilloscopes and other test equipment to measure the actual transient protection capability of each solution.
Work effectively in a cross functional collaborative team environment with minimal supervisionQualification and Skills:
College courses in support of a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with one or more years of college experience (Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors)
Hands on experience using oscilloscopes and other test equipment.
Hands on experience soldering electrical components.
Experience with electrical circuit simulation (LTspice, etc...) and/or experience with Schematic capture / layout software (Altium, Allegro, KiCAD, etc...).Well-rounded knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)Strong analytical, problem solving skillsAbout Kranze Technology SolutionsWe are a defense industry small business company specializing in Infrared Countermeasures (IRCM) systems, digital interoperability and networking, and program support for the US Navy, US Marine Corps, and Special Operations Command.
