    ALPI USA seeks Sales Representative

    ALPI USA, Inc. is seeking a qualified sales representative. We are an international freight forwarder, customs broker, and 3PL with a friendly and collaborative work environment. In the USA we have three divisions: ALPI USA, Inc, ALPI Customs Brokers Inc., and ALPI Logistics, Inc. Our parent company is Albini & Pitigliani, Italy, a family-owned and run company in business for almost 80 years. ) This challenging but rewarding role requires a strong understanding of international logistic and the sales process. The ideal candidate will have experience in the industry, love the freight business, be an initiative-taker, and will have the ability to highlight our offerings in a compelling way.

    We offer a competitive salary package and generous benefits. Starting salary is commensurate with the candidate's experience and book of business. Commission (without cap) payable after candidate reaches and maintains specific quotas.

    Objectives of this Role

    • Identify prospects, make effective qualifying sales calls, and manage sales cycle to close new business in all service categories offered.
    • Meet weekly, monthly, and annual contact and sales quotas through the successful implementation of sales and marketing strategies and tactics.
    • Maintain working relationships with existing clients to ensure exceptional service and identification of potential new sales opportunities.
    • Prepare professional and accurate presentations, quotes, and proposals.
    • Create and maintain comprehensive client SOPs and work closely with operations and customer service teams.

    Skills & Qualifications

    • Strong knowledge of international logistics, both import and export, air, and ocean.
    • 5+ years within the international transportation industry, 2+ years outside sales.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, and organizational skills.
    • Ability to adapt and thrive in a position that requires self-motivation.
    • Proficiency with sales management software and CRM

    Need to Know

    Offer contingent on candidate being free from any noncompetition agreement with current and or former employer.

    Travel is required throughout the ALPI Office territory which includes Maine, Vermont,New Hampshire, Massachussets, Rhode Island and nort portion fo Connectircut

    • Candidate must have the ability to travel throughout the USA/internationally if/when needed.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree.
    • Proven success rate at levels above quotas.
