We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Transportation Account Manager to join our team in Syracuse, NY. This pivotal role will focus on managing and nurturing client relationships within the transportation sector, ensuring exceptional service delivery, and identifying opportunities for account growth. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in transportation management, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering solutions that meet our clients' needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, understanding their business needs and challenges.
Manage daily operations for assigned accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
Coordinate with logistics, operations, and customer service teams to resolve any issues promptly.
Analyze account performance, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
Implement strategic plans to retain and grow account revenue.
Prepare and present regular performance reports to clients and internal stakeholders.
Stay abreast of industry trends and developments to provide proactive solutions to clients.
Anticipate in negotiations and contract renewals, ensuring terms are favorable and align with company goals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in account management or sales within the transportation or logistics industry.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
The salary for this position ranges between $70,000 and $80,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. This total compensation package includes a base salary plus a performance-based bonus.
