Who we are looking for For the North America Transportation team, this director will be a strategic and analytical leader with a track record of success from a complex organization. This person will effectively work across functions to develop and deploy insights & analytical strategies to improve Nike business performance. What you will work on The Director, Insights and Analytics for North America (NA) leads a team to drive performance management, forecasting and capacity management, and long-term strategy for First Mile, Middle Mile, and Last Mile Transportation Operations. You will build strong relationships with partners across the supply chain to create the future of transportation analytics. Key partners include First Mile, Middle Mile, and Last Mile Transportation Operations teams, LSP Management, Global Transportation, Commercial Analytics, Integrated Fulfillment Planning, and the Supply Chain Center of Excellence. This role reports directly to the Senior Director for North America Trade and Transportation.
Key Accountabilities for the role:
Define overarching performance management strategy, metric tree, and KPI targets and control bands to improve service, cost, convenience, and sustainability
Define overall forecasting and capacity management strategy for first mile, middle mile, and last mile operations
Regular communication with key stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities and communicate insights generated by the team that can support operational improvements
Review and refine team deliverables to ensure they are error-free and meet the needs of the operations teams
Drive regular prioritization conversations to ensure we are constantly focused on initiatives that drive the greatest value for Nike
Develop talent, including ongoing coaching and support of individual development planning
What you bring
Bachelors Degree or higher degree in Business, Supply Chain/Logistics or a closely related field or combination of relevant education, experience, and training
Master's degree preferred
Professional experience in performance management, forecasting, and business case development
Working knowledge of analytics tools such as Tableau, Alteryx, SQL, R, VBA, Python, etc.
Dynamic and positive teammate with a history of bringing diverse teams together for greater collaborative wins.
Excellent people skills and leadership experience with direct and indirect reports, able to build cohesive teams by focusing on diversity and talent
Comfortable with taking risks to develop themselves, the business, and the team
At least 5-10 years of supply chain experience, ideally across first mile, middle mile, and last mile preferred
