    Pastry Chef - Task Force (Consultant) – ($70K – $85K)

    Independents Restaurant Not Affiliated with M&R Hotel Management

    Pastry Chef - Consultant

    Overview: We are seeking an experienced Pastry Chef to join our team on a consultant or task force basis. As a consultant, you will bring your expertise in Italian pastry making to our culinary projects, providing guidance, recipe development, and training to enhance our offerings. This role requires a deep understanding of Italian pastry traditions, ingredients, and techniques.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Recipe Development:
      • Develop authentic Italian pastry recipes tailored to our brand and culinary requirements.
      • Create innovative twists on classic Italian pastries while respecting traditional flavors and techniques.
    2. Menu Consultation:
      • Collaborate with our culinary team to design and refine Italian pastry menus.
      • Provide recommendations on pastry selection, presentation, and pairing.
    3. Training and Development:
      • Conduct training sessions for our kitchen staff on Italian pastry techniques and execution.
      • Offer ongoing support and mentorship to enhance the skills of our pastry team.
    4. Quality Assurance:
      • Implement quality control measures to ensure consistency and excellence in pastry production.
      • Conduct regular assessments and provide feedback to maintain high standards.
    5. Consulting on Special Projects:
      • Participate in special projects such as menu launches, events, or concept development.
      • Offer strategic insights and creative solutions to elevate our pastry offerings.
    6. Research and Innovation:
      • Stay updated on industry trends and new developments in Italian pastry.
      • Experiment with new ingredients and techniques to keep our offerings fresh and exciting.

    Qualifications:

    • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef specializing in Italian pastries, with a strong portfolio of work.
    • In-depth knowledge of Italian pastry traditions, including regional specialties and historical context.
    • Excellent understanding of flavor profiles, ingredients, and baking techniques specific to Italian pastries.
    • Creative flair and passion for innovation while respecting authentic Italian culinary heritage.
    • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
    • Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred.

    Schedule and Compensation: This role will be on a consultant or task force basis, with a flexible schedule based on project needs. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and scope of responsibilities.
