Description
We are a wholesale bakery looking to hire an experienced baker/pastry chef.The hours are currently 4:30pm - 10:30pm Monday through Thursday.
We are fairly new and there is a tremendous opportunity for growth. Looking for someone who is motivated, independent, detail oriented, takes initiative, and wants to learn
Duties:
- Prepare and bake a variety of bakery items, including cakes, muffins, and cookies
- Follow recipes and ensure that all products are made to the highest quality standards
- Decorate cakes and pastries as required
- Monitor baking process to ensure proper temperature and timing
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Package finished products for sale or catering orders
- Clean workspace and lock up
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a baker or in a similar role within the food industry
- Knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and consistently produce highquality baked goods
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment
- Excellent time management skills to meet production deadlines
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Skills:
- Proficient in baking techniques and methods
- Experience in catering or pastry production is a plus
- Knowledge of food handling and safety procedures
- Ability to bake and prepare various bakery items from scratch
- Strong packaging skills for presenting finished products
- Familiarity with the culinary industry trends and techniques
