    The RolesWe are expanding our legal team and looking for Associate General Counsels & Legal Counsels who can help the team think through and build compliant, legally sound products and services, and help forge strategic partnerships to enable Arta to reach more people in more countries.

    There's a lot to do, and we want to do it the right way.


    What you'll be doing:
    Advising team members on relevant legal issues of the business
    Advising on products and features from conception through development and delivery
    Overseeing internal policies
    Managing risks in business operations and decisions
    Drafting legal papers, contracts, agreements, and other legal documents as needed
    Applying abstract principles of law to the concrete facts of a case or situation
    Protecting patents, trademarks, and other intellectual property
    Assisting in the preparation of responses to regulatory investigations and supporting litigation requests

    Who we're looking for:
    ~ Experience as a product counsel helping to build new products, preferably in financial services
    ~ Experience with technologies and legal issues relating to the development and offering of a range of financial services
    ~ Experience advising clients in all aspects of product development, including privacy, technology, security, IP, and consumer protection matters
    ~ Experience working closely with and advising product or engineering teams
    ~ Ability to work collaboratively, independently, strategically, and with sound judgment
    ~ Familiarity with the stages of product development
    ~10+ years of relevant attorney-level experience
    ~ Specialty in administrative law and procedures
    ~ A proven track record of creating effective legal strategies
    ~ High work ethic
    ~ Arbitration and mediation skills
    ~ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    ~ Admitted to the bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law in the United States
    ~ JD or equivalent degree

    Arta's Compensation Philosophy We determine your level based on factors including your interview performance, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

    Our offers are based on salary bands that are updated periodically using market benchmarks and consider geographic location as well (for example, higher cost regions like San Francisco or New York).

    If you are presented with an offer, we will review the base salary, benefits, number of options, notional option value and strike price.

    We would like to know if you accept our offer within 7 days.

    Please keep in mind that the equity portion of your offer is not included in these numbers and represents a significant part of your total compensation.
