    LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking a full-time Certified Coder for a client in Phoenix, AZ on a Contract basis. The client is seeking a candidate to accurately and appropriately produce billing charges as part of the claim submission process.

    Requirements:

    • Certification in medical coding and billing required.
    • 5+ years of experience in a coding and billing position preferred.
    • Proficiency in NextGen or similar Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
    • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Suite, particularly Excel functions and tools.
    • Possession of a valid Arizona Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance card or ability to apply for one within 7 working days of assuming the role.
    • Must pass a TB Test.

    Essential Duties & Accountabilities:

    • Ensure accurate assignment and sequencing of codes according to government and insurance regulations.
    • Review claims and configurations for compliance with coding guidelines and best practices.
    • Verify, correct, and ensure the accuracy of billable services by reviewing patient charts, claims, and policies as necessary.
    • Provide training and support to claims team members and practitioners on billing procedures and coding requirements.
    • Recommend and implement strategic protocols for coding review and modifications.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Compliance and Contracting.
    • Stay updated on coding requirements and best practices through external trainings and meetings to proactively develop and implement innovative practices.

    Compensation: $23- $28/hr, DOE.

    Job Type: Contract, approx 3-6 months

    Schedule: 7:30 - 4pm
