MEDICAL BILLER FOR INTERNAL MEDICINE PRACTICE IN TEMPE, ARIZONA
We are seeking a qualified and dedicated medical biller to join administrative staff of our Internal Medicine practice.

As our medical biller, your daily duties will include sending out medical claims, maintaining billing software, appealing denied claims, work with clearing houses and posting payments.

MEDICAL BILLER/MEDICAL ASSISTANT A BIG PLUS FOR THE POSITION


Medical Biller Responsibilities:

• Preparing and submitting billing data and medical claims to insurance companies.
• Ensuring the patient's medical information is accurate and up to date.
• Preparing bills and invoices, and documenting amounts due for medical procedures and services.
• Must be well versed and knowledgeable in CPT and ICD10 coding and must have Internal Medicine billing experience.
• Handle patient inquiries and answers questions from clerical staff and insurance companies
• Maintain relationship with clearinghouse, including appropriate followup with support issues, Insurance credentialing etc.
• Monitoring and recording late payments.
• Following up on missed payments and resolving financial discrepancies.
• Examining patient bills for accuracy and requesting any missing information.
• Investigating and appealing denied claims.
• Helping patients develop patient payment plans.
• Assure coding is compliant and up to date.
• Maintaining billing software by updating rate change, cash spreadsheets, and current collection reports.

Medical Biller Requirements:

• A minimum of 4 years of experience as a medical biller.
• Solid understanding of billing software and electronic medical records.
• Must have the ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Outstanding problemsolving and organizational abilities.
• Payer credentialing knowledge is a plus
• EClinical Works experience is a major plus

Pay:
$ $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
