    Communications team members Receives instructions from Head of Global Communications, Director of Global Communications Deputy to N/ Deputy to this position Job evaluation Function CORE Services Discipline Communications Career band HR to complete Global grade HR to complete Job purpose statement The Manager of Global Communications is responsible for the development and management of high-quality, innovative, creative internal and external customer communications strategies and activities to ensure they are developed within best practice guidelines and agreed-upon budgets as well as in line with the corporate and brand identities. The Manager will work in close collaboration with the Director of Global Communications for key initiatives.
    Essential duties and responsibilities No. Major duties Description 1. Executive communications
    • Participate in the development of executive social media strategies and lead content development and execution
    • Support internal executive communications through presentation content development and global meeting execution
    • Support external executive communications through research and writing of interview briefs, speeches, talking points, etc.
    2. Social and digital medi
    • Develop and implement content for c o rpo ra te a nd CEO social media to enhance reputation with customers, strengthen influencer relationships and increase employee engagement
    • Collaborate with Director of Global Communications on strategy for internal digital media channels and lead the content development for and deployment on these channels
    3. Reporting
    • Lead the development of detailed KPI reports for the team
    • Work collaboratively with Director of Global Communications on internal merchandising strategy and distribution of reports
    4. Media relations
    • Write/create, edit and distribute press releases, press kits, pitches, etc.
    • Maintain high attention to detail to ensure accuracy and consistency among all media relations materials

    5. Media and speaker training
    • Support media training for stakeholders and develop media talking points, Q&A, briefing documents, etc. as needed
    6. Writing/editing
    • Strong news writing and editing ability
    • Experience creating high-quality press releases, talking points, interview briefs, etc. under tight deadlines
    • Knowledge of AP style
    7. Collaborate with global communications network
    • Collaborate with global corporate communications team as needed to ensure they have sufficient support and resources to implement standard operating procedures and uphold communications standards
    8. Provide strategic advice/counsel
    • dvise stakeholders on the best communication channels and on content development (e.g., crafting messages and stories, using language, tone of voice, interpreting messages for specific audience groups in collaboration with Director of Global Communications)
    9. Team planning
    • Contribute to yearly strategic corporate communications planning process

    • Oversee and partner with agencies to deliver communications strategies and execute quality work within budget
    11. Other duties as assigned Job-related qualifications/skills Please select Preferred/required Education - Bachelor's degree Required - At least 6 years of communications experience Required - In-house p harmaceutical industry and/or agency experience Preferred Knowledge, skills and abilities (including languages): - Capable of managing multiple projects at once Required - Strong organization/prioritization skills Required - Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills Required - Executive presence and ability to deliver presentations in small and large groups with all organizational levels Required - Experience working with C-suite executives Required - Strong writing and editing skills, including fact checking, researching and referencing skills Required - Strong project and time-management, planning, presentation and content-development skills Required - Thorough understanding of the relationships among customers, professional organizations, the healthcare industry, data and regulatory environments Required - Comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced environment Required - Deadline driven and capable of maintain high quality under tight deadlines Required - Solutions oriented and operates in a drama-free environment Required
