An HR Generalist plays a crucial role in managing various aspects of human resources within an organization.

Administering Compensation and Benefit Plans:

HR Generalists are responsible for assisting with compensation and benefit programs. They ensure that employees receive fair and competitive pay and benefits.
This involves reviewing salary data, conducting market research, and assisting with recommendations.

Assisting in Talent Acquisition and Recruitment Processes:

HR Generalists collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and create job descriptions.
They participate in recruitment efforts, including sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and facilitating the hiring process.

Employee Onboarding and Training & Development:

HR Generalists play a key role in onboarding new employees. They help them understand company policies, benefits, and their rights.
Additionally, they organize training programs and development initiatives to enhance employees' skills and knowledge.

Handling Employee Relations and Conflict Resolution:

When issues arise, HR Generalists step in to assist HR process in addressing employee concerns, conflicts, and grievances.
They work to maintain a positive and productive work environment by resolving disputes and promoting effective communication.

Developing and Implementing HR Policies:

HR Generalists contribute to the implementation of human resource policies.
These policies cover areas such as attendance, leave, performance management, and workplace behavior.

Performance Management and Metrics Analysis:

They assist in performance management processes, including conducting performance reviews and providing feedback.
HR Generalists also gather and analyze HR metrics (e.g., time to hire, turnover rates) to improve organizational effectiveness.

Maintaining Employee Records:

They ensure accurate and confidential record-keeping for all employees, both in electronic and paper formats.

Requirements

The successful candidate will possess:

Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.

Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
At least two (2) years of human resource management experience required; will consider internship experience
At least one (1) year of recruitment experience
