    SpaDerma is Chicago's leading medical spa providing Cosmetic Injectables, Laser Hair Removal and Advanced Skincare with over 20 years of experience. Our team of over 130 employees includes skilled Aestheticians and Injectors alongside Spa Managers, Practice Support Administrators, Marketing professionals, Directors of Education and Business and C-Suite members. We empower our team of professionals to foster enduring relationships with their patients, through collaborative and detailed treatment plans.

    SpaDerma is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Human Resources professional. This individual must have exemplary interpersonal skills and possess a high level of knowledge in regards to employment law, health insurance policies, payroll processing and overall compliance. The Human Resources Director is a leadership role that will single handedly manage as HR needs within the company. This position is a full time, hybrid position that requires minimal travel between spa locations. Office space is provided at SpaDerma Headquarters, located at 1453 N. Ashland Ave.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage and maintain employee files; required medical licensing for providers, training certifications, and new hire paperwork.
    • Meet monthly with the Aesthetic and Injectable department leads to ensure all legal requirements are being fulfilled; licensing, charting, treatment settings, protocols, etc.
    • Work closely with the COO to create new policies and protocols to support future company growth.
    • Implement programs to promote a culture of inclusivity and diversity.
    • Attend in spa monthly team meetings as well as individual meetings to provide support to employees within all spa locations and departments.
    • Present to the C-Suite quarterly on HR policies, employee retention and satisfaction, recruiting practices, updates to labor laws and payroll reporting.
    • Lead efforts to measure and improve employee satisfaction, including conducting surveys and implementing feedback mechanisms.
    • Oversee the entire hiring process for all departments, including; position posting and management, recruiting, interviewing, employment agreements and onboarding.
    • Effectively conduct employee disciplinary actions, terminations and offboarding processes.
    • Develop a human resources protocol guide to detail all department responsibilities.
    • Manage and report on employee benefits including; health, dental, vision, retirement, PTO, FMLA, paid leave, etc.
    • Implement HR policies to ensure employment law standards are being met.
    • Complete all payroll processes while also conducting quarterly payroll audits between departments to ensure accuracy and compliance.

    Requirements:

    • Ability to work autonomously and is self motivated.
    • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with team members and vendors.
    • Empathetic leader that employees are comfortable communicating with.
    • Proficient experience with google, asana, and ADP.
    • High level of knowledge in regards to federal and state employment laws and regulations.
    • Experience hiring and terminating employees.
    • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
    • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing HR strategies that drive business results.

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years of HR experience.
