- Ability to resolve construction problems and prepare responses to contractor claims.
- Supervise inspectors, make hiring and other employment-related decisions.
- Prepare or oversee preparation of project documentation, reports, payment estimates, change orders, and final plans.
- Willing to travel and stay out of town a week at a time if required for project needs.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Ability to handle large projects and work independently on job sites.
- Perform other responsibilities as required or assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university curriculum.
- Successful completion of the Engineer-in-Training exam.
- Six years of experience in highway or transportation engineering.
- MoDOT Technician Certification is a plus or must be willing to obtain certification.
- OSHA 10-Hour Certification required within 90 days.
- Licensed as a Professional Engineer in the State of Missouri not required but encouraged.
