    Description

    Family Allergy & Asthma is looking for a detail-oriented Medical Billing Coordinator to join our team

    Location: Landis Lakes office - 139 South English Station Road, Suite 200, Louisville, KY 40245

    Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

    Pay: From $18 / hour

    Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Review, prepare and send claim charges to submit to clearinghouse for payment
    • Communicate with providers related to charge/account issues
    • Create and submit claims electronically or via paper for reimbursement
    • Identify trends and issues relating to claim coding
    • Charge entry for shots, services, etc.
    Competencies, Education and Experience:
    • High School Diploma or GED required
    • Basic computer skills, ability to review spreadsheets
    • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
    • 1 year Medical Billing Office experience, preferred
    • Availity clearinghouse experience, preferred
    • Knowledge of insurance carrier guidelines, deductibles, copays and coinsurance
    • Knowledge of medical terminology and coding (ICD-10 and CPT) preferred
    • Knowledge of medical records and documents
