Job Summary
Reporting to and under general direction of the Associate Director for Education and Public Outreach, with additional work direction from the EdEon Director and SSU grant-funded Principal Investigators (PIs), the EdEon Support Coordinator initiates and coordinates a variety of administrative duties in support of the departmental administrative support functions, and of grant funded projects as assigned.
The range of grant-funded projects varies from small, low-cost projects to large-scale, complex programs. Projects include activities in education, outreach, and research.The incumbent evaluates and provides recommendations related to operational and procedural matters and work procedures; coordinates and executes large scale, complex projects with broad, visible impact which involve overseeing coordination with other departments and research partners outside of SSU.
Work involves identifying needs, planning and initiating projects, coordinating and delegating work and seeing a project through initiation, execution, coordination, implementation and evaluation.
Contacts involve interaction with all levels inside and outside the university, and incumbent typically provides lead work direction, training, and guidance to other staff.
Key QualificationsThis position requires a high school degree or technical/vocational program degree, and a minimum of two to three years administrative work experience involving program administration and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development of improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs.
Intermediate knowledge and experience with database systems and experience working in a project based and a university setting is preferred.
Intermediate proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required. Knowledge of Google Suite, AdobeSign, Smartsheet, Qualtrics and PeopleSoft preferred.Salary and Benefits
Starting salary placement depends on qualifications and experience and is anticipated to be in the range of $3,865 to $4,057 a month.
This is a full time, temporary, non-exempt position. Reappointment to this position is dependent upon the individual's performance as well as administrative and budgetary considerations. The university reserves the right to terminate this appointment earlier than the scheduled expiration date.
This position is eligible for a broad range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurances, retirement (CalPERS), tuition waiver, vacation and sick leave.
