- Process Optimization: Lead efforts to optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, productivity, and product quality, utilizing lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Product Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new products or improve existing ones, from concept to commercialization, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and market trends.
- Equipment Maintenance and Upgrades: Oversee the maintenance, repair, and upgrades of manufacturing equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Innovation Initiatives: Drive innovation and technology adoption initiatives to enhance manufacturing capabilities, reduce costs, and improve competitiveness in the market.
- Project Management: Manage engineering projects from initiation to completion, including scope definition, resource allocation, timeline management, and budget control.
- Quality Assurance: Work closely with quality control teams to establish and maintain quality standards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure that engineering activities comply with safety regulations and industry standards, identifying and mitigating potential hazards.
- Supplier and Vendor Management: Collaborate with procurement teams to select and manage external suppliers and vendors for engineering-related services, materials, and equipment.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of engineering activities, including project plans, technical specifications, and progress reports, for reference and regulatory compliance purposes.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or related field). Master's degree preferred.
- Experience in engineering roles within the plastics manufacturing industry, with at least X years in a managerial or leadership position.
- In-depth knowledge of plastics manufacturing processes, including injection molding, extrusion, blow molding, etc.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
- Strong track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives and implementing best practices to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results on time and within budget.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
