    The Work You Will Do:
    This position is located within the Division of Regulation, Tallahassee Regional Office.

    This position is responsible for investigating alleged violations of Florida Statutes and Board rules governing a variety of professions regulated by the department in the 10 Regional Field Offices.


    Duties include but are not limited to:
    The incumbent reports to the Consumer Complaint Unit's Senior Management Analyst II - SES; duties and responsibilities of the position, mainly performed on an independent basis, are as follows:


    • Performs all citation processing and final order tracking for a variety of professions; each with its own statutes and rules with which incumbent is knowledgeable. Citation and final order case reports shall be formatted and tracked for compliance and payment in a timely manner.
    • Receives citations issued by the field office personnel for a variety of professions and verifies the accuracy of the violation cited and the monetary discipline taken by reviewing current statutory and rule information specific to the profession cited. Contacts the issuing field office personnel when the citation is issued in error; creates citation tracking numbers through the entry of the citation information into the Department's main software system, VersaRegulation.
    Creates a working folder for each citation received, complete with all required documentation.


    • Emails the issuing field office personnel with the citation tracking number within three business days of receipt.
    • Processes all files through the Department's document imaging system, OnBase.
    • Tracks compliance of unlicensed activity final orders as directed by the Office of the General Counsel; this includes researching and capturing the specific violations, discipline and compliance as dictated in the final order. Monitors payments received and applies the money to the final order; files undisputed citations. Communicates with Board offices, as necessary, on citation issues.
    • Performs other related duties as required.

    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


    • Knowledge of the techniques for handling complaints that become citations.
    • Knowledge of and the ability to apply Florida Statutes, rules, policies and procedures regarding licensure and regulation of professionals.
    • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, and in stressful situations.
    • Ability to determine work priorities and ensure proper completion of work assignments.
    • Ability to utilize computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, VersaRegulation and OnBase.
    • Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data to develop recommendations and solve problems.
    • Ability to conduct fact-finding research.
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

    Minimum Qualifications:
    The selected incumbent should possess the following:


    • Associates' degree in any field;or
    • Two (2) or more years of complaints, investigative and administrative-related experience can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required education;and
    • Experience utilizing the Department's VersaRegulation and OnBase system; proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook;and
    • Must have a valid Florida driver's license

    Preferences:

    • Preference will be given to those with experience handling citations.
    • Preference will be given to those with experience tracking unlicensed activity final orders.
    • Preference will be given to applicants who have excellent organizational skills, exercise professional conduct, integrity, maturity in judgment and are able to perform the duties of the position on an independent basis.
    • Preference will be given to applicants who are proficient in using Microsoft Word, Outlook, VersaRegulation and OnBase.
