- Assist the grant management staff for the Resilient Florida Program in the Office of Resilience and Coastal Protection.
- Coordinate directly with other DEP staff, federal agencies, and local authorities to facilitate successful completion of grants and projects.
- Perform data entry into program and department databases.
- Coordinate and report on status of projects through all phases including completion.
- Assist team leader with grants and projects assigned.
- Coordinate the review, approvals, and processing of administrative and technical aspects of assigned projects.
- Assists in the editing of standard operating procedures for the section.
- The position also coordinates with the other sections and program areas in the Department in pursuit of the overall mission.

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) is the state's lead agency for environmental management and stewardship - protecting our air, water and land.
The Work You Will Do:
The Office of Resilience and Coastal Protection is seeking an OPS (full-time) Government Operations Consultant I in the Grants section of the Resilient Florida Program.
The Difference You Will Make:
The Resilient Florida Program was established during the 2021 Legislative Session with the passage of SB1954/HB7019 and the creation of section , Florida Statutes.
This legislation will ensure that communities have the resources they need for resilience planning and project implementation as well as creating a framework for a cohesive, coordinated approach to address the impacts of sea level rise, effects of intensified storms, and localized flooding.
The program will administer the Resilient Florida Grant Program, complete a comprehensive statewide flood vulnerability and sea level rise data set and assessment, develop annual Resilience Plans consisting of prioritized projects for funding consideration, support Regional Resilience Entities and collaborate with the Florida Flood Hub of Applied Research and Innovation.
