    Job DescriptionThe Coats Company is seeking an Inside Sales Specialist who will report to the Senior Director of Sales. The Inside Sales Specialist will play a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. They must be comfortable making outbound calls, working with our field sales team and channel partners, generating interest, qualifying prospects and closing sales.

    The Coats Company is headquartered in greater Nashville, TN. With facilities in the U.S., Canada, and abroad, Coats is one of the world's foremost manufacturers of aftermarket automotive equipment. We are seeking talented innovators eager to be in the driver's seat for an exciting digital transformation.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Support daily inbound and outbound sales opportunities within distribution and direct channels.
    • Assist in development and execution of outbound sales strategy to achieve daily sales. Assist District Manager team by qualifying customers on all Coats product offerings.
    • Serve as equipment specialist on general wheel service, heavy duty, advanced equipment and lift categories. Perform order lookups of distribution and direct customers as needed.
    • Assist with coordinating customer training events at the HQ office. Includes agenda set-up, manage activities, demos, etc.
    • Support customer service as backup in the event a District Manager is unable to fulfill a customer request.
    • Support Salesforce CRM activity. Qualify leads from website, events, and selling shows.
    • Attend customer locations, events and tradeshows as needed.
    • Travel required: Minimal, as needed. 5-10% of time. US, Nationwide.
    RELATIONSHIPSThis position reports to the Senior Director of Sales. This individual will frequently interact with Coats commercial team members, Coats customer service members, and distribution/direct customers.
    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proven inside sales experience and track record of over-achieving quota.
    • Strong listening and presentation skills.
    • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM systems.
    • Expert knowledge of wheel service-related products and/or proven track record in Automotive Aftermarket.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
    • Willingness and aptitude to learn new software systems and tools.
    • Work well in matrix environments requiring you to work with a wide range of stakeholders.
    • Strong organizational and time management abilities.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
    • BA/BS degree in Business, Marketing, or associated fields.
    • Solid prior experience in a similar role.
