    **What You Will Be Doing:**

    As Pathfinder Dealer Development Manager, you will be responsible for the aftermarket product support of the Perkins Engine Co. products in the Pathfinder Power Solutions area of responsibility through the network of second level dealers (SLDs) and the administration of the SLD contractual performance obligations to Pathfinder Power Solutions. You will administer the second level network and monitor the effectiveness of the individual SLDs within that network in terms of marketplace coverage, staff resources employed, assets employed, the level of and volume of technician skills and courses undertaken and the amount and effectiveness of Perkins engine parts inventories. You will identify shortcomings and develop remedial action to overcome those deficiencies. You will also be responsible for actively seeking out new SLDs in territories where such coverage is warranted and eliminate or replace non-performing SLDs as required.

    **Primary Responsibilities:**

    Ensure Pathfinder Power Solutions has adequate and expected coverage for parts sales in their territory through the second level network (SLN) categories where appropriate. Develop the necessary SLN management tools to hold the SLN to appropriate prescribed standards.

    Responsible for the implementation and administration of the Perkins Engine Co. soon-to-be-launched Second Level Network (SLN) Program with assigned Second Level Dealers (SLDs).

    Evaluate existing assigned SLDs as to performance and compliance with SLN program guidelines. Engage in a program to raise SLDs operating standards requisites in order to meet compliance directives.

    Balance inventory with asset requirements and customer/SLD satisfaction levels Assist/mentor SLDs in managing resources consistent with business levels and corporate model

    Financial responsibility for the development and achievement of the annual business plan. Implement and monitor execution of SLD annual business forecast. Analyze monthly performance relative to forecast, identifying areas requiring additional focus and taking action, as needed.

    Develop SLDs capabilities to monitor operational and financial metrics for managing the parts business. Review aged inventory and implement plans to minimize write-offs. Deliver desired inventory turns while minimizing obsolescence and scrap. Oversee aging of core inventory to ensure timely recovery of core credits. Monitor fill rates and backorder activity to ensure appropriate inventories are available to deliver a high level of customer satisfaction while meeting required inventory turns.

    Establish and monitor service level excellence as benchmarks and establish performance standards pertaining to training, warranty claims volume and reimbursement percentages, and overall customer satisfaction

    Utilize Pathfinder/Perkins marketing assets to develop and execute cost-effective co-op marketing programs to ensure SLD market penetration.

    Participate in required safety program, and work in a safe manner.

    **Who We Are Looking For:**

    To be successful in this position you should have 10+ years of experience in the support of diesel engines, drive train componentry or heavy equipment and at least 5 years in sales through a dealer network and the administration thereof. You should possess a strong sense of urgency and desire to provide superior customer service. The ability to take direction and instruction and work in a team environment is essential to this position as well.

    **Education/Experience:**

    Bachelors Degree from a four year college or university preferably in Management, Business Administration and/or Engineering or related experience.

    10+ years of experience in the support of diesel engines, drive train componentry or heavy equipment.

    At least 5 years in sales through a dealer network and the administration thereof.

    **Required Qualifications/Skills:**

    Broad mechanical and/or electrical background with a fundamental knowledge of diesel engines, power generation, hydraulic and mechanical drive train componentry.

    Understanding of independent distributor companies business practices and operations

    Experience with use of CRM to manage sales reporting, leverage customer information, account management, time and territory management.

    Adept at financial management. Must have the ability to translate that information into manageable action plans

    Skilled in the Microsoft suite of business software.
