    Description

    This role provides account management and focused service to a defined number of business accounts. The Account Executive is responsible for creating and implementing a business plan for client retention; including benefit plan consulting, enrollment support and identifying opportunities to increase product lines for existing clients. Additionally, the Account Executive serves as a liaison between clients and internal teams to ensure a thorough understanding of client needs and successfully complete renewal negotiations.

    Client definition: Human Resources Personnel, Broker Contacts, and Channel Partners.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage Ochs' larger accounts
    • Develop annual business plan and successfully execute strategies
    • Make connections or deepen connections with prospective, new or current clients through finalist presentations, networking events, research, implementation and/or service calls and visits, and other marketing tactics
    • Establish and maintain relationships with current clients
    • Retain clients by meeting proactive service requirements
    • Active involvement in renewal process and negotiation for all lines of coverage
    • Identify cross sale opportunities with existing clients and provide that information to internal teams
    • Act as a primary liaison for renewal and complex policy level communication with clients
    • Meet with clients to identify needs; technical, quality, cost, specifications, etc.
    • Implement solutions for clients to drive satisfaction using appropriate resources
    • Responsible for working with internal teams towards client retention goals
    • Resolve client concerns in an expeditious and tactful manner
    • Accountable to achieve retention goals
    • Train and mentor more junior team members

    Additional Responsibilities:

    • Manage and schedule client visits in an appropriate manner and frequency
    • Present benefit plans to client's employees during group enrollment meetings and health fairs as necessary
    • Organize meetings, coordinate materials, and schedule travel as needed
    • Provide progress reports to management team
    • Follow all internal processes including but not limited to Salesforce entry, renewal process, amendment process, implementation process etc.
    • Be available and adaptable to shifting focus as company and client needs change
    • Assist the sales department in finalist presentations
    • Travel up to 25%

    Qualifications and Skills:

    • Bachelor's degree preferred
    • Previous sales or account management work experience
    • Life/Health licensing (can be obtained after hiring)
    • Strong verbal and written communication
    • Ability to present to both small and large groups of people
    • Ability to work independently and with self-motivation
    • Ability to find successful resolutions to client problems
    • Competency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
    • Salesforce experience preferred
    • Full-time access to a motor vehicle and valid driver's license

    Physical Requirements:

    • The ability to work a minimum of 37.5 hours per week
    • Ability to utilize keyboard, mouse and computer for approximately 1-4 hours per day
    • Ability to utilize telephone for approximately 1-4 hours per day
    • Ability to meet the physical demands of travel. This includes the ability to operate a motor vehicle
    • Ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 25 pounds
