    Description
    Soni's client is a rapidly growing Engineering and Design Firm. They are looking to add a Senior Accountant to their team. This position requires a detail-oriented finance professional who will provide accounting support for a high transaction and fast-paced environment.

    Responsibilities:

    • Prepare journal entries, financial analyses, and month-end close process.
    • Develop Financial schedules and complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations. Research differences and proactively ensure complete and timely resolution.
    • Ensuring SOX Compliance by reviewing adequate supporting documentation, approval by management, general ledger coding (overhead/billable) and accurate posting in ERP.
    • Complete monthly/quarterly sales and use tax preparation for multiple entities.
    • Assist with the corporate premises and equipment lease database, update lease schedules in accordance with GAAP ASC842 monthly and prepare journal entry.
    • Provides support as needed to internal and external auditors and examiners.
    Assists with FAR overhead schedule, analysis, reporting and audit.
    Support DOT indirect cost rate submissions.


    • Complete ad hoc reports as requested by Controller or other internal stakeholders.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or similar field
    • 3+ years related experience in general ledger and financial reporting
    • Microsoft Office project suite experience required as well as knowledge of intermediate to advanced Excel functions
    • Ability to multi-task, critical thinking and problem-solving skills while maintaining an effective, positive relationship with team members
    • High attention to detail and level of accuracy
    • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and ownership of projects
    • Must demonstrate the highest standards of personal and professional integrity and character and promote ethical business behavior throughout the company

    Preferred Skills:
    Previous experience in the AEC industry
    Experience with BST software
    SOX experience

    Compensation:
    $90,000 - $101,000

    Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications .
