- Interact with the business teams on behalf of the legal department.
- Provide administrative support to the legal department, including managing calendars for the Legal team, travel arrangements, meeting logistics, materials preparation, expense tracking and processing, processing of legal bills routine scheduling, and follow-up.
- Assist in organization and maintenance of complex litigation and legal files.
- Research and analyze information relevant to assigned tasks.
- Management of international trademark portfolio.
- Interact with business teams regarding new trademarks and trademark renewals.
- Conduct trademark clearance searches.
- Prepare and file U.S. trademark applications.
- Interact with foreign counsel re: foreign trademark applications.
- Assist in the management of U.S. and foreign patent portfolio.
- Interact with business teams regarding patent renewals and maintenance fees.
- Filing U.S. provisional and non-provisional patent applications.
- Prepare PCT patent applications based on U.S. filings.
- Preparing formal drawings for patent applications.
- Prepare Information Disclosure Statements and other patent-related documents.
- Preparation and review of form-based legal contracts (e.g., NDA's, consignment agreements, distributor agreements, etc.)
- Provide administrative support to the legal department, including managing calendars for the Legal team, travel arrangements, meeting logistics, materials preparation, expense tracking and processing, routine scheduling, and follow-up.
- Maintain Company Central Contract files/legal records and legal department filing systems.
- Assist in the administration of the Company's compliance programs, including Code of Ethics, and export and import compliance, as needed.
- Assist with legal budget preparation and monitoring of outside legal spending.
- Process outside counsel invoices and outside counsel accruals, and maintain spreadsheet with respect thereto, as appropriate.
- Monitor class action lawsuit settlements and prepare proofs of claim.
- Screen correspondence, telephone, email, and other communication as needed to organize the Legal team's time and enhance efficiencies of the office.
- Answer routine communications as directed.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook. Proficiency or ability to learn Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong orientation to detail work, and ability to synthesize details.
- Superior communication skills, both oral and written. Can comprehend complex matters.

- Bachelor's degree or other relevant degree
- Paralegal certification is a plus.
- 5-7 years of experience as a trademark paralegal, patent paralegal, or patent secretary either at a major law firm or in-house.
