Job Description:
Pennington Biomedical Research Center, a world-renowned academic research institute of Louisiana State University, is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Pediatric Obesity and Health Behavior Laboratory.
The postdoctoral researcher will join the dynamic Pediatric Obesity and Health Behavior Laboratory that develops and tests innovative, technology-assisted tools and interventions to help children, adolescents, and their families to manage their weight and be physically active.
Dedicated funding is available for a 2-year fellowship within the Pediatric Obesity and Health Behavior Laboratory, under the mentorship of Associate Professor Dr.
The fellow will have the opportunity to compete for intramural and extramural funding, with the potential to extend the fellowship.
In addition to their own research projects, the fellow will collaborate on other ongoing projects in the laboratory.The area of focus will be crafted based on the fellow's interest and can utilize data being collected from the following ongoing or recently completed studies:
Staiano's mentorship, the postdoctoral fellow will select secondary mentors among the faculty of Pennington Biomedical and will create an Individual Development Plan tailored to their career goals and strengthening research skills.
The fellow will be involved in the conduct of pediatric clinical trial research, statistical analysis, submitting research grant applications and peer-reviewed scientific manuscripts, and presenting findings at scientific conferences and to the lay public and stakeholders.
