Overview:
The incumbent in this position will characterize the geochemical evolution of the Monkey Island formation in response to CO2 injection using geochemical and reactive transport modeling.
Integrate hydrologic, stratigraphic, lithologic, mineralogic, and geochemical data into numerical models to simulate coupled fluid and heat flow and reactive transport.
Also, the incumbent will program in FORTRAN/Python/other languages.Assist with writing reports for the Monkey Island Carbon Storage Project (MICSP) grant and/or papers to be published regarding the research project.
Job duties for Postdoctoral Researcher:
