Position Summary:

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist that thrives in an engaging work environment where there is constant, in-person interaction with people of all levels.

The right person for this job is organized and trainable, detail-oriented, reliable, and focused. We offer a clean, hard-working, and fun office environment

This position will manage and process payables for the company, including matching, batching, and coding invoices, resolving A/P issues, processing reports, and more.

This role provides an opportunity for someone with some basic working experience to branch out into new daily challenges and tasks.

This is a full-time / in-office position located at our main office in Mendota Heights, MN.

Key Responsibilities:

Distribute incoming invoices electronically to managers for approval.
Review all invoices for appropriate coding and approval prior to system entry.
Enter invoices into Company's ERP system, prepare electronic payments for review by Senior Management, distribute as directed.
Maintain spreadsheets and other reconciliations related to vendor payments.
Ensure vendor invoices are paid timely; resolve any issues with appropriate Company staff.
Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain positive relationships with external vendors.
Assist with other office and accounting projects as needed.
Back-up to front desk (mail, etc.)

Preferred Experience/Education:
3+ years of prior experience, preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent; some post-secondary education is a plus
Basic understanding of accounting general ledgers
Willingness to learn and explore new processes to add efficiencies to Accounts Payable
Experience working with integrated Accounting Systems
Prior knowledge of Microsoft programs and willingness to grow skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Positive attitude and professional behavior
Highly functional in fast-paced environment
Construction background is a plus

Other Requirements:
