    Position Overview

    Accounts Receivable Specialists are responsible in performing a variety of accounting support tasks, to include but are not limited to the account duties as outlined below.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Monitor receivable aging accounts
    • Verify, enter and reconcile transactions
    • Create and process billing to vendors
    • Review responsible accounts for discrepancies and apply adjustments when warranted
    • Assist customers, external and internal, with account related items
    • Work and communicate with other departments to ensure accurate bookkeeping
    • Calculate, prepare and issue documents related to invoices, credits and other financial statements
    • Coordinate collection of payments or credits via calls and follow-ups
    • Work with customers and vendors to ensure we receive/give proper credit or billing for product
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Skills and Competency Requirements

    • Possess and demonstrate strong organizational skills with attention to detail
    • Interpret data and make sound decisions to achieve satisfactory outcomes
    • Excellent customer service and effective communication skills both in oral and writing
    • Self-starter with the ability to multitask and prioritize to meet deadlines in a timely and accurate manner
    • 10 key skills required
    • Time management

    Qualifications

    • Accounting knowledge or experience
    • Associates Degree is a plus
    • Strong Microsoft Office Suite Skills (Excel, Outlook and Word)
