Melody Roy
Upper Management / Consulting
About Melody Roy:
Currently, I am pursuing a dual Master's program at The College of William and Mary, where I will receive a Master of Business Administration as well as a Master of Accountancy.
During my undergraduate career, I worked as a cake decorator while paying for my education. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Music, and minored in Jazz Studies.
For just shy of two years, I put my business and mathematical skills to use as an Account Representative for a property management firm. I started said position with no experience, and in under 6 months I gained the responsibility of over 1,500 homeowner accounts.
The major focus of my degree was Music, and I am still active in performing. In the past, I offered private vocal lessons to adolescents in the Northern Virginia area. Prior to the unfortunate spread of COVID-19, I often performed in vocal competitions as well as scheduled acoustic performances at various venues. Notable performances of mine include a Carnegie Hall debut in New York City, NY, collaboration with the ACDA Unity Choir in Minneapolis, MN, and numerous performances across the United States for the annual Jazz Education Network Conference.
I have strong customer service skills, practical thinking, organization, and I work very well under pressure.
