My IT Asset Management (ITAM) journey began at Frank Russell Company (now known as "Russell Investments") where, as a BMC Remedy developer and Technical Project Manager, I led a team of developers responsible for the maintenance of several enterprise systems. My team inherited a small ITAM system built upon the BMC Remedy platform.

That introduction to ITAM was the beginning of my ITAM journey. Later, at Washington Mutual Bank, I became the bank's Software Asset Manager, working with strategic sourcing to optimize the value of the bank's software investments.​

In 2010, after a brief hiatus from ITAM work, I joined the Dell Professional Services organization as a consultant to Boeing Company providing Software Asset Management Analysis services until 2015. Key focus areas of this engagement were software license compliance and reducing the risk of license non-compliance.

As a contractor to Wells Fargo starting in 2016, I assisted with the bank's transformation to a new ITAM operating model which included changes to business processes and systems. The bank soon picked me up as a direct hire and I became a senior member of their Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM) team, supporting the team in a variety of SAM and HAM efforts, including IT asset discovery, data normalization, CMDB data quality and SAM/HAM business process implementation.

Since leaving Wells in 2023, I've worked ITAM contracts for Leidos, Sound Transit Agency and US Bank. 

I have a BS in Computer Science from San Diego State University, and a certificate in Database Management from the University of Washington.  Additionally, I am a ServiceNow Certified SAM Pro Implementation Specialist and IAITAM Certified Software Asset Manager. Additionally, I have a rich technical background in software engineering and development of large distributed systems.

Senior ITAM/SAM Business Analyst

Regression tested ServiceNow Vancouver release. Generated requirements and user acceptance test documentation for ServiceNow HAM Pro and SAM Pro implementations.  Assisted with SAM chargeback process design and development based upon licensing terms and conditions.  Provided issue management weekly reporting to leadership. Provided ‘as-is’ and ‘to-be’ business process design and documentation. Normalized existing legacy software request catalogue in preparation for SAM Pro implementation. 

Wells Fargo Company (2/2017-11/2023)

VP/Lead Business Execution Consultant 

Designed and automated integrated SAM processes for license compliance reporting and visibility across millions of software product installations supporting approximately 350k users. Provided executive level reporting of software compliance and inventory discrepancies, root cause analysis and governance. Product Manager of Kanan team responsible for ServiceNow software discovery data quality and continuous improvement including custom discovery patterns and normalization mapping. Acted as liaison to Flexera supporting maintenance of software standards catalog.

Led Configuration Management Lifecycle Team responsible for instantiation of monthly IT asset lifecycle compliance reporting process.  As ITAM Controlled Acquisition work stream lead, managed implementation of enhanced ITAM operating model process and system enhancements.

Developed and documented business process models for a large, enterprise-level ITAM program with particular emphasis in ITAM/SAM discovery and ITAM lifecycle data validation, normalization, and cross-program integration.

DaVita, Inc.  (2015 – 2016) 

Senior Data and Business Analyst (Healthcare Compliance) Designed and developed complex queries and reports supporting healthcare compliance audits of key strategic clinical and financial processes and systems. Extracted and synthesized data and developed dashboard for tracking compliance-related fixes to the company’s core clinical system. Designed, developed, and delivered recurring and special ad-hoc enterprise level reports. 

Dell, Inc.  (2010 – 2015) (Contracted to Boeing)

Software Service Delivery Metrics and Reporting Advisor 

Developed Software Asset Management and IT Service Management processes and analytical tools for mining, aggregation, and analysis of a variety of complex sets of raw data from disparate sources. Converted raw discovery and asset purchase data into normalized software license compliance information for data-driven decision making.  Designed, developed, and delivered recurring and special ad-hoc enterprise level reports and dashboards correlating software installations, license purchases, and software utilization for a company with over 165,000 desktops in support of over $90M in IT cost avoidance. Automated processes to maximize the profit margin of the contract using low-cost automation and delivery techniques allowing Dell to keep headcount low (5 vs. 8) while fulfilling the requirements of the Statement of Work (SOW).

True Blue, Inc. (2007 – 2010)

Lead Business Analyst

Led a team of business analysts as part of a large project to replace the company’s ERP/Point-of-Sale system. Facilitated sessions to gather and document business, functional and technical requirements.  Developed and documented functional gap analyses.  Developed charters related to business analysis efforts.  Led cross-functional user testing efforts and thoroughly documented results for project leadership.  Tracked progress against plan and provided weekly executive level status reporting. Filled in for Product Manager as needed.  Managed and reported on status of reference data for the system in preparation for go-live. 

Washington Mutual Bank (2002 – 2007)

Technology Manager 

Redesigned and implemented operational processes and functions necessary to effectively manage the bank’s Software Asset Management and license compliance processes, representing approximately $170M annual spend. Led effort to identify and mitigate the risk of software over-deployment, resulting in over $15M reduction in financial exposure to the company in 2004. Gathered and documented business and technical requirements for an enterprise level ITAM system. Decreased monthly capital asset expenditure and depreciation reporting process time from 2 weeks to 20 minutes using efficient, low-cost report automation.  Designed, developed, and supported several applications and databases used for financial reporting. Earned Internal Six-Sigma Green Belt Certification and external CSAM. Earned IT CFO “Employee of the Quarter” award in Q1 of 2005. 

Russell Investments (2000-2002) 

Technical Project Manager/Team Lead 

Supervised IT developers and business analysts responsible for a variety of projects while serving as a key developer. Simultaneously managed team and developed software for Remedy implementations of IT Service Management, IT Change Management, and IT Asset Management.  Managed projects supporting the Russell Financial 2000 and 3000 Indexes. Planned and implemented maintenance releases according to user requirements. Actively managed project budgets to within +3% and –5%.  Served on the Software Process Improvement Committee.

I hold a Bachelor Of Science degree in Computer Science, and a certificate in Database Design and Management. I also am a Certified Software Asset Manager with the International Association of Asset Management and am a ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in Software Asset Management Professional (SAM Pro).
